Booking and Reservation Policies
Q: How far in advance can I book a vehicle?
A: Vehicles can be reserved up to 6 months in advance, subject to availability. Last-minute bookings are accepted but may incur additional fees.
Q: Is a deposit required to secure my booking?
A: Yes. Full payment of rental fees and the applicable security deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: We accept major credit cards, debit cards (subject to approval), and digital payment platforms (e.g., PayPal or Zelle). Cash payments are not accepted.
Q: Can I modify my reservation after booking?
A: Yes. Changes to the reservation, such as vehicle selection or Rental Period adjustments, must be requested at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Modifications are subject to vehicle availability and may incur an administrative fee of $50.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: Cancellations made:More than 7 days before the rental start date: Full refund. Between 3 and 7 days before the rental start date: 50% refund. Less than 3 days before the rental start date: No refund.
Q: What happens if I am a no-show?
A: Failure to pick up the vehicle within 2 hours of the scheduled pick-up time without prior notice will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be issued.
Eligibility and Documentation
Q: What are the minimum age requirements?
A: Renters must be at least 25 years old. Renters under the age of 30 may be subject to additional insurance requirements or surcharges.
Q: What documents do I need to provide at pick-up?
A: Renters must present:A valid driver’s license (temporary licenses are not accepted). Proof of full-coverage insurance. The credit card used for the Security Deposit authorization.
Q: Can someone else drive the vehicle?
A: Only drivers listed on the rental agreement are authorized to operate the vehicle. Additional drivers must meet eligibility criteria and be added to the agreement before the rental starts.
Vehicle Usage and Restrictions
Q: Are there mileage limits?
A: Rentals include up to 100 miles per day. Additional mileage will be charged at $3 per mile unless otherwise specified.
Q: Are there restrictions on where I can take the vehicle?
A: Yes. Vehicles cannot be taken out of the United States without prior written approval. Additionally, vehicles are prohibited from being driven on unpaved roads, racetracks, or areas with high flood risk.
Q: Can I smoke in the vehicle?
A: No. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rental vehicles. A cleaning fee of $500 will be charged if any evidence of smoking is found.
Q: Are pets allowed in the vehicles?
A: No. To maintain the cleanliness of our fleet, pets are not permitted in rental vehicles. Exceptions may be made for certified service animals with prior approval.
Accidents, Damages, and Repairs
Q: What should I do in case of an accident?
A: In the event of an accident: Ensure safety and contact emergency services if necessary. Notify Starlife Miami, LLC immediately at the emergency contact number provided in your rental agreement. Provide a police report and insurance details to the Company within 24 hours.
Q: What happens if the vehicle is damaged during my rental?
A: All damages will be assessed upon return. Repair costs will be deducted from the Security Deposit or billed to the renter. Renters are responsible for all damages not covered by their insurance policy.
Q: Is roadside assistance available?
A: Yes. Roadside assistance is included for issues such as flat tires, lockouts, or mechanical breakdowns. Additional fees may apply for incidents caused by renter negligence.
Late Returns and Extensions
Q: What is the policy for late returns?
A: Late returns will incur the following charges:$50 per hour for the first 4 hours. A full daily rental fee for delays beyond 4 hours.
Q: Can I extend my rental period?
A: Yes, extensions must be requested at least 12 hours before the scheduled return time. Approval is subject to availability, and additional rental fees will apply.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Q: Do I need to clean the vehicle before returning it?
A: Vehicles must be returned in reasonable condition. Excessive dirt or mess will result in a cleaning fee of $200 or more.
Q: What happens if the fuel tank is not full upon return?
A: Refueling charges will apply at $5 per gallon, plus a $25 service fee.
